📚 DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
THE FASCIAL TENSIONER

An auxiliary extensor of the elbow that plays a critical role in fascial compartment stabilization.

ORIGIN COMPLEX: Arises from the caudal scapular border (near teres major origin) and via a broad aponeurosis from the latissimus dorsi fascia—linking elbow extension to trunk musculature.

ANTEBRACHIAL FASCIA: Inserts on the olecranon but also fans extensively into the antebrachial fascia. This tensioning action compartmentalizes the forearm muscles, preventing muscle herniation and improving contractile efficiency via hydrostatic pressure.

SYNERGISTIC ROLE: Assists the triceps in elbow extension, particularly during the initial loading phase of stance when maximum stability is required.
