📝 STANDARD DESCRIPTION:
Light microscopy resolves routinely stained cells and tissues; electron microscopy provides ultrastructural detail. Micrometry requires calibration of an ocular scale against a stage micrometer at each objective magnification.
📚 DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
Routine paraffin histology follows fixation, dehydration, clearing, paraffin infiltration, embedding, sectioning, mounting and staining. In H&E, haematoxylin colours basophilic nuclei blue-purple and eosin colours most cytoplasm and extracellular proteins pink.

// COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

ALL DOMESTIC SPECIES The processing principles are shared, but fixation, decalcification, section thickness and special stains must suit the tissue and diagnostic question.
CLINICAL RELEVANCE
Poor fixation, thick sections, folds, chatter, precipitate and incorrect micrometer calibration can create artefacts or false measurements.
